Intensive training can fuel repair in brain, spinal cord post injury

Spinal cord injury victims benefit from intense rehab: U of A study

By Tom McMillan, Dec. 18, 2007 (Edmonton Journal)- Intensive rehabilitation for those with spinal cord injuries could lead to restored hand function, and even the ability to walk, according to a new University of Alberta study.

SYBD: Announces Upcoming Clinical Plans for Oxycyte(TM)

CYKN: FDA Requests Add Info re HDE Application for Andara(TM) OFS(TM)

(CYKN) has received a letter from the FDA requesting additional analyses and data regarding its Humanitarian Device Exemption (HDE) marketing application for the Andara(TM) OFS(TM) (Oscillating Field Stimulator) System, a nerve growth stimulator designed as a treatment for acute spinal cord injuries. The FDA has identified additional information related to clinical and engineering data that the Company must provide prior to completion of their review of the device. Neurotransmitters In Biopolymers Stimulate Nerve Regeneration

Dec. 13, 2007 (ScienceDaily)- Research reported December 11 in the journal Advanced Materials describes a potentially promising strategy for encouraging the regeneration of damaged central nervous system cells known as neurons.
